       The cooling system of water-cooled engine adopts  forced cooling cycle. The phenomenon that the water chamber is blocked and the coolant is not circulated due to the failure to use qualified coolant and the incorrect method of adding coolant in the market has occurred from time to time, resulting in accidents such as high engine temperature, burning of the piston top, burning of the piston ring, etc., which has brought great trouble and unnecessary losses to users.

1、 Characteristics of coolant
       The coolant is composed of base fluid and additives, and the base fluid is composed of glycol and soft water. Additives include antirust agent, PH regulator, antifoam agent and colorant, etc. It has the following advantages:
      1) Low freezing point (freezing temperature below - 4 ℃), not easy to freeze, high boiling point (boiling point above 108 ℃), low heat evaporation loss, long service life.
       2)The additives in the coolant can effectively prevent the formation of scale. The pure water does not contain minerals that form scale. Ethylene glycol also has a certain inhibition effect on the formation of scale.
       3) The main components in the coolant are glycol and soft water, which contain less air inside, and the bubbles separated after heating are very few. The damage of "cavitation" to the cylinder and water pump is greatly reduced.

2、 Selection of coolant
       1. It is better for users to choose direct-use coolant, and note that its freezing point should be more than 5 ° C lower than the local actual minimum temperature.
       2. Because the formula of each brand of coolant is different, the manufacturers keep it secret from each other. The same brand must be selected and mixed use is prohibited. Otherwise, the coolant may deteriorate at an early stage.
      3. Authentic coolant is added with additives such as buffer and anti-scaling agent, which has little effect on metal corrosion, while fake and shoddy products have no anti-corrosion measures at all. Some even add cyanidin into the water or use a liquid similar to the color of sea water as coolant, which will corrode the engine cooling system too quickly. Therefore, when purchasing coolant, you should go to the exclusive store or the regular mop shop to buy it. You should not be greedy for cheap.

3、Coolant replacement

4、Precautions for use of coolant
      1)The coolant is highly toxic and cannot be eaten. If it splashes onto the machine parts or human body during use, it should be cleaned and washed in time to prevent corrosion of the machine parts and causing human injury.

      2)The coolant from different manufacturers shall not be mixed, and it is not allowed to mix two different brands of coolant. The cooling system shall be thoroughly cleaned before changing different types of coolant.

      3)According to the different seasons and ambient temperatures, the proportion of coolant can be adjusted to meet the requirements of different temperatures in severe cold areas and ensure that the engine can safely pass the winter in all areas.

       4) Most users think that coolant (also known as antifreeze) should be used in winter, and tap water can be used in other seasons. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. Hard water contains a large amount of alkaline substances, which become scale after heating and separation and adhere to the inner surface of the cooling circulation system, affecting the function of the cooling system, leading to boiling, water shortage, and even cylinder sticking.
